Bleh Tigers! Go Dawgs!

Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!  I am a bit late in writing, mainly because I ate too much turkey and then overslept by a good bit today.  If you think cat naps are intense, then dog naps take it to the next level indeed.

So, I am getting pretty excited about football, as both of my teams are looking to have an exciting postseason.  Virginia Tech plays tomorrow, where they will hopefully dog the University of Virginia team, and Georgia plays Georgia Tech.

However, before those games even happen, it looks the #13 ranked Bulldogs (GO DAWGS!) are going to be playing the #1 ranked team in the land for the SEC Championship on December 3rd down in Atlanta.  I am eagerly begging every chance I get for an opportunity to go to the game, and it looks like it is a good possibility that I am going to get to go check it out.  I am so excited!  Even if I don't get to go, I think it is very exciting for my fellow dogs to be playing the number one team in the nation.

Interestingly, because of the way everything has been working out, it looks like that Dawgs could actually help the Hokies into the national championship game.  Depending on how it works out, if the Bulldogs beat LSU, Virginia Tech wins out, and Oklahoma State loses to Oklahoma, it could well open the door for the Hokies to play.  If Virginia Tech wins later today, after Arkansas's loss on Friday, then the Hokies should be ranked #4 in the BCS Standings.  If OSU loses, that would make them #3.  Then, if VT wins out, beating the other Tigers,  and LSU loses... WOW!  #2 and playing in the title game!!!

Wishful thinking?  Maybe.  Time will tell!  GO DAWGS! GO HOKIES!
