As you have probably gathered if you have been reading this puppy's posts, I am a big fan of college football. Maybe it is because I like when people throw me the ball, or running after a ball, or chewing on a ball, or... well, you get the picture, but I love watching football. I really like college football, and cheering for my teams each weekend as they play.
Now, I will be the first to admit that that I did not have a "dog in the fight" so to speak, and I was not really rooting for either of the teams. If I had to pick one, it would been Alabama (because no dog in his right mind would root for any type of cat, and that includes the Tigers), but it was not that important to this pup one way or the other.
However, the game itself would have challenged the most diehard puppy's love of the game, as it was for the most part a fairly boring game. The Alabama kicker attempted seven field goals, making five, and there was one touchdown scored the entire game. LSU barely made it to Alabama's side of the field, and apparently left their offense in Atlanta at the SEC Championship game. I was yawning and thinking of the nearest fire hydrant by the midway point of the third quarter, and actually stopped watching the game in the fourth quarter. It was just so very boring.
I would like to think that it was because Alabama's defense was so good, but there came a time very early in the game where I felt like I could call the next LSU play. They were very predictable, and Alabama had it dialed up last night.
Ah well, congratulations to the Crimson Tide just the same, and now this puppy has to find a new sport to watch during the cold weather. Dog sledding is sounding very interesting about this time of year...
