Barking Up The Wrong Tree

Hello again.  As you can see, I am still injured, and my right forepaw is practically non-functional.  Hopefully, I will be better soon, but honestly I have no idea how long that will take.

This brings me to an interesting point that I want to bring up to those of you who may be pondering wishing your favorite stuffed animal to life - THINK IT THROUGH!  Caring for a stuffed animal is a very unique experience, and one that most people have never really considered.  For example, even though I know my owner/servant/partner/sleeping  companion/dog carrier loves me and wants nothing but the best for me, but he has had absolutely no idea how to handle me hurting my paw.  As he says, "No one wrote a book on how to care for your injured stuffed dog."

Which, although it makes perfect sense, really frustrates me.  It is hard enough to move in a world build for people 10 times your size, with flesh, blood, and bones, but now I have to deal with this injury without the benefit of medical care or an idea of how long it will be until I am back on my ultra-soft feet?  SO FRUSTRATING!

I guess that the reason I am writing this blog is to help people with this very thing, so maybe I will be the one that ends up writing the book on how to care for your stuffed animal, or at the very least, how to care for one who has literally had the stuffing knocked out of him.  More on my recovery and treatment to come!

  1. Podar, Is there a reason you haven't tried some home remedies in addition to traditional western medicine? A poultice of herbs and weeds should help relieve any swelling you have in overstuffed areas while a tincture (ask your life wisher, he knows all about these) should ease the pain.
As far as healing understuffed areas- I'm afraid surgery is the only option. I am sending you the address of a lovely surgeon who happens to live in the same building as you. She is very gentle and operated successfully on the famous Bunny Buttercup( since her surgery she has risen to the position of Mrs.Easter Bunny). She will put you to sleep before the procedure so you wake up feeling rested, renewed, and (best of all) looking good as new! Best wishes for a speedy recovery my lopsided friend,
    Yours truly,
